Tile Roofing |
|
Tile is a ceramic/clay or cement/sand based product that can last 50 years or more. It is available in several styles, each providing a unique appearance. Tile gives a very stately look which is particularly well suited for larger homes.
A high selling point for tile is its ability to withstand extreme weather conditions. High wind, high heat and severe cold have no real effect on this type of roofing.

Slate Roofing |
|
Slate is a dense, tough, durable, natural rock or stone material that is practically nonabsorbent. Standard slate roofs are composed of commercial slate (approximately 3/16 to 1/4 inch thick), have a uniform length and width, and have square tails or butts.
Standard commercial slate may be used to form a variety of designs on roofs, and are suitable for buildings where a long service-life steep-slope roof covering is desirable. Variety in the pattern can be attained by using slate trimmed to a diamond, hexagonal or other pattern or by using random widths.
